The Retail Space at
The National Centre for Craft & Design
On 1st October 2011, The Hub will open its doors as The National Centre for Craft & Design. A gallery that exhibits and promotes the most innovative, challenging and accomplished artists practising within the craft and design arena today.
We are revitalising The Retail Space on the ground floor to provide a NEW visually stunning and inspirational shop that offers a flagship area for demonstrating and promoting the wealth of national and international creative talent.
This is a fabulous opportunity for accomplished artists, designers and makers to show and sell their work to a wide range of audiences in a venue that is aspiring to become “home” to the very best contemporary craft and design.

Volunteers
Hub Volunteers are an essential part of day to day life. They come for all sorts of reasons but have in common, a passion for crafts, design and the arts. Our needs are diverse, from gallery invigilation to exhibition installation, research to community events. It's a very diverse and interesting mix and we try to provide an interesting folio of activities for a commitment that much depends on individual availability and capacity.

Interns
It's now common for graduates to undertake an internship. We welcome people from all sorts of design, curatorial and education related backgrounds to join us for short, focused periods of time.
Demand for internships is high and an application and selection process applies. Those interested in internships should endeavor to apply a minimum of three months in advance.

Placements
The Hub is a very popular destination for students from schools, colleges and universities. We greatly value their presence and work to provide as rich a work load as possible.
